Illegal Alien ARRESTED—Mother Punched, Child's Face BITTEN

A 24-year-old illegal alien faces multiple felony charges after attacking a mother and her three-year-old daughter at a San Antonio park in what witnesses described as a scene from a horror movie. The unprovoked assault left the child with severe facial injuries, including lost teeth.

Brutal Attack Unfolds at Texas Park

Atharva Vyas approached 27-year-old Gabriella Perez at a San Antonio park on April 18, 2026, without warning or provocation. According to police reports, Vyas grabbed Perez by the hair and punched her in the face, causing her to fall and drop her three-year-old daughter. The attacker then attempted to poke at Perez’s eyes with his thumb before turning his attention to the child.

Witnesses reported that Vyas pinned the toddler down and began biting her face. Perez described the horrifying scene, comparing it to a zombie movie as bystanders rushed to intervene. A brave civilian physically restrained Vyas until San Antonio Police Department officers arrived. The child suffered severe facial injuries, including bites that resulted in the loss of two teeth.

Victim Recovery and Legal Consequences

The three-year-old remains traumatized by the attack, refusing to attend daycare or be separated from her mother. Perez reported that her daughter requires constant care and reassurance following the assault. The family established a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical bills, dental work, therapy sessions, and lost wages resulting from the attack. Vyas was booked into Bexar County Jail facing charges including injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily injury, and illegal entry from a foreign nation.

Investigation Continues

San Antonio Police confirmed that Vyas had no prior connection to the victims and was a complete stranger to the family. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine what motivated the unprovoked attack. The incident has raised concerns about public safety and immigration enforcement in the community. Perez and her daughter are focused on healing from the physical and emotional trauma while seeking support from their community during this difficult time.
