School officials are stonewalling the public by refusing to release surveillance footage of a deadly stabbing at a Texas high school track meet. The horrific incident left 17-year-old Austin Metcalf dead in his twin brother’s arms after allegedly being stabbed by fellow student Karmelo Anthony during a confrontation in April.
Tragic Confrontation Turns Deadly
The fatal stabbing occurred on April 2 at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco during a rain delay at a high school track meet. According to witnesses, the altercation began when Metcalf asked Anthony to move out of the Memorial team’s tent area, escalating when Metcalf pushed Anthony after the latter allegedly warned him not to make contact.
Karmelo Anthony is not a hero.
His family LIED about having financial problems to get a lower bond and then (allegedly) BOUGHT A HOUSE…
Why are they treating this kid like a celebrity?!?

Prosecutors allege Anthony had taunted Metcalf before the incident, reportedly saying, “Touch me and see what happens,” suggesting the attack may have been premeditated. Moments later, Anthony allegedly reached into his bag, grabbed a knife, and stabbed Metcalf in the chest, inflicting a fatal wound that would claim the young athlete’s life as he collapsed into his twin brother’s arms.
School Officials Hide Critical Evidence
Despite having clear surveillance video of the deadly confrontation, Frisco Independent School District officials have confirmed they possess the footage but refuse to release it to the public. The decision to withhold this critical evidence has sparked outrage among community members who demand transparency about the tragic event that occurred on school grounds.

Law enforcement arrested Anthony at the scene, and he now faces murder charges in connection with Metcalf’s death. Anthony’s bond was initially set at $1 million but was later reduced to $250,000, with conditions including house arrest and ankle monitoring—a decision that has raised questions about the judicial handling of violent crime cases involving minors.
Grieving Family Seeks Justice
Metcalf’s twin brother Hunter provided a heart-wrenching account of watching his brother die after the attack. “I whipped my head around, and then all of a sudden I see him running down the bleachers just grabbing his chest… I put my hand on there, tried to make [the bleeding] stop, and I grabbed his head and I looked in his eyes. I just saw his soul leave, and it took my soul, too,” Hunter recounted.

“The narrative being spread is false, unjust, and harmful,” the Anthony family claimed in a statement, rejecting the murder charges against their son. However, prosecutors maintain they have both the surveillance video and multiple eyewitness accounts identifying Anthony as the person who fatally stabbed Metcalf.
The defendant’s legal team is attempting to build a self-defense case, claiming Anthony felt threatened during the confrontation. The continued withholding of video evidence by school officials only fuels speculation about what truly happened during those fatal moments, leaving a community divided and a family mourning the senseless loss of a young life with promising potential.
